Still life with Yumyums is a playful nod to the tradition of still life paintings as self-contained narratives frozen in time, driven the symbolism imbued to everyday objects. A population of virtual creatures, governed by the rules of evolving algorithms and artificial life, are set in a miniature landscape or island. Overtime the creatures, each with its individual abilities and character, try to survive and reproduce. The most effective ones do and when they do, their children will share the DNA of both their parents. Meanwhile, an oppressive overlord tries to control the creatures as they strive to overthrow him. The result is a never-ending orgy. Just like in real life.
