Throughout 2026, Casino Luxembourg – Forum d’art contemporain will be celebrating three decades of work supporting and promoting emerging artists – a moment to reaffirm its role as a space for living art and critical thinking where aesthetics meet, enter in dialogue and question each other. During this anniversary year, we will be renewing our commitment to advancing contemporary creation by inviting audiences to discover a varied programme of exhibitions and events focused on synergy. Entitled FORA (plural of ‘forum’), it will unfold from March to December 2026 along multiple, intertwining temporalities, conceived as platforms for reflection, experimentation and exchange. While revisiting the past thirty years, FORA will provide numerous occasions to collectively imagine its possible futures..

Τhe exhibition Screentime/s explores the temporal, material and imaginary worlds of screens, as well as the porosity between virtual worlds and their physical realities. Through works by Émilie Brout & Maxime Marion, Sandro Berroy, Jacky Connolly, Mélanie Courtinat, Justine Emard & Jean-Emmanuel Rosnet, Dana Kavelina, Guillaume Menguy, Josèfa Ntjam, Seunghyun Park, Sergio Razorade, Ásta Fanney Sigurðardóttir, Emilija Škarnulytė, Natalia Stuyk, Theo Triantafyllidis, and Lu Yang, it asks how contemporary digital environments – video games, computer-generated images, immersive worlds and virtual realities – become spaces for the reactivation, transformation and invention of symbolic narratives. It takes visitors on a journey where the critical reassessment of screens confronts ancient myths that are reconfigured by virtual environments, but also immersive technologies and hybridisations that redefine our relationship with our bodies and with reality. Starting in May, a series of collective performances will allow visitors to experience a state of presence and renewed focus, between interiority and perceptions of the virtual and tangible world. Hypnagogic sessions, led by researcher Alexandre Quaranta and Laura Kozlik to a musical accompaniment by composer Hugo Figuera, and the performative experience Live Dream by Justine Emard and Jean-Emmanuel Rosnet will encourage participants to detach themselves from electronic screens and shift their gaze to their inner mental, sensitive and psychic screens where images are no longer meant to be seen but experienced.

The inaugural weekend from 19 to 22 March 2026 will be a festive moment of convivial encounters punctuated by conferences, workshops for young audiences, performances and concerts.

With FORA, Casino Luxembourg affirms its role as a place for interdisciplinary convergence, where art is part of global debates and feeds into the future of a contemporary art forum understood as an open space for reflection, collective practice and the continual reinvention of modes of presence.
