Puppet Protocol is a one night event with a virtual puppetry performance by Tokisato Mitsuru and screenings from Rustan Soderling, Alan Resnick, Eternal Engine, Ian Ingram, Tintin Patrone, Sara Ludy for Dialect. In this assembly of hand gestures, prompt whispers, animal instincts and geomagnetic storms, language takes a back seat. Puppets move without strings, machines converse without code, and goats remain unapologetically goats. The boundaries between the organic and the artificial blur in subtle ways, inviting quiet, unexpected dialogues. The works ask you to listen closely—not for meaning, but for the sheer joy of not quite understanding everything.

A virtual theater in a digital space, featuring puppets and scenes from the streets of Athens. A handmade, patchwork Mixed Reality puppet show unfolds at the tips of my fingers. In a world where almost everything is created by fingertips—tapping on smartphones, typing on keyboards, clicking a mouse—we are constantly shaping reality with subtle gestures. We write prompts, press Enter, and the landscapes we input are remixed into imagination. This work, too, exists through the movement of fingertips. It’s a puppet show, yet it feels like a personal diary, each gesture a fleeting entry. In a world governed by fingertips, when those fingers are freed from their usual tasks, something magical emerges—movement without purpose, a dance born of pure intent.
